PC/VIEW
Turns your PC into a Forward Looking dual axis sonar. | |
|
Introducing
the all-new Interphase PC/View. Now you can turn your shipboard laptop
or desktop PC into a powerful, high-resolution forward scanning sonar. Using your
PC's computing power and its high resolution color display, the PC/View
provides advanced sonar features for improved underwater navigation and detection.
Incorporating the same patented technology as the Interphase Probe
and Sea Scout, the PC/View can scan
a moving beam from side to side to help locate suspended objects, schools of bait
and fish, or can be set to scan vertically from the surface to the bottom to show
obstacles, underwater structure and changing bottom conditions ahead. The PC/View
can also work as a high-powered conventional color depth sounder and will easily
operate on the same computer with most popular marine programs including your
favorite chart plotting software. NOTE:
The PC/180 and PC/VIEW will not operate with Windows XP Professional Edition however
they will operate with Windows XP Home Edition. The PC/180 and PC/VIEW also only
operate via the parallel port. USB to parallel port converters do not work with
the PC products. |

Working like an underwater
radar, the PC/View can scan the waters ahead and beneath your boat looking for
dangerous shoals, reefs or sandbars, schools of bait or other significant
underwater objects. Easy to operate, the PC/View's interface easily attaches
to your computer's parallel port and an acoustic transducer (through- hull
or transom mounted). Once connected you have all the capabilities of Interphase's
award winning scanning sonar technology.

- Ease
of Operation
The
PC/View offers numerous split screen modes that can be easily accessed. The
product is truly intuitive and user friendly. - Choice
of Views
Selectable views can be forward, downward, or a combination
of both. The scan can be reduced to a fraction of the 90 degree sweep and then
"steered" anywhere from just under the surface to directly downward for the vertical
scan. The horizontal scan is 45 degrees port and 45 degrees starboard.
- Split
Screens
Along with the traditional split screen and navigational
split screen (an industry innovation first introduced by Interphase in
1988) the PC/View offers a forward looking display, split screen or with
a bottom chart view. - Forward
Seeking View
The PC/View offers recreational boaters a never
before available forward scan of the bottom and suspended targets. Forward
range is up to six times the current water depth (in the vertical scan, and four
times the depth in the horizontal scan.) with a 1,200' maximum forward display
(420 watts RMS). - Durability
Like all of today's Interphase products, the PC/View is built
by hand in the USA, each unit is bench tested for a minimum of 12 hours.
- Value
Affordable forward scanning sonar for the recreational boater, the revolutionary
PC/View is packed with a valuable depth sounder, offering screen capture
modes, choice of display backgrounds, and the only computer based scanning sonar.
